How to Re-engage Former Customers
A recent study from Cornell University and the University of Hawaii showed that previous members of a non-profit who were last connected 2 or 3 years ago were far more likely to sign back up than those who had never been connected to the large non-profit.
You might think that former customers who no longer use your services simply aren’t interested any more. But this study shows that simply isn’t true.
It is FAR EASIER to sell to a previous customer than to try to find a new one.
Here are some ways to re-engage former customers even if it means digging through old texts or emails to find them
-
Send them some tips or interesting tidbits without asking for a purchase or anything at all.
-
Remind them of the core benefit of what they initially ordered (massages have health benefits, waxing prevents ingrown hairs, fuller lashes/brows make you look younger, etc)
-
Highlight a new offering, promotion or service
-
Give them a discount for their birthday month
-
Offer easy ways for your former customer to contact you (phone, website, Instagram, etc)
