Tips to Getting Free Press (and get paid for it) 

Are you a good writer? Or have access to a good ghost-writer? Know how to use AI?

Consider pitching articles to local publications. Those free magazines (Cary Living, Raleigh Magazine, Midtown Living, etc…) are often looking for good content from local experts.

First, take a look at the publications you’d be pitching to and get an idea for the length and style of the articles they publish. 

Write a couple of articles to submit and in your cover letter include titles of other articles you could produce. (Remember my tip last week about articles with numbers -- top 5 ways to….) 

They can either pay you for your article or if they put in a good bio that includes a link to your website that might be even better.
